A Balanced Wine List, Chosen with Care From the New and Old Worlds

We are just as fanatic when it comes to making the right choice of wine to offer our patrons as we are about our food. Our wine list, following its latest major revamp in May 2011, will now be updated as and when we find something that should be added to our list, simply because it represents better quality and/or value than something we stock currently. Our list will now evolve gradually rather than in fits and starts, as and when we find suitable candidates for imbibement

We feature 6 Reds and 6 Whites by the glass complimented by 2 Rose wines. As you can imagine, we had a lot of fun choosing them for your pleasure and we hope that you derive as much pleasure from drinking them as we did choosing them. So whether you are looking for a brooding Chilean Carmenere or a silky smooth Spanish Merlot, an Argentinian Torrontes or a luscious Australian Viognier, we can assist.

For those looking for something to celebrate that special family or romantic occasion, we have a range of offerings varying from Lebanon's infamous Chateau Musar with its long lingering complexity, or a flinty Premier Cru Chablis. If you really want to roll out the boat, look no further than the Landlord's Private Cellar that features amazing wines that have featured prominently during his lengthy overseas travels.

There is also a sumptuous array of ports and dessert wines to choose from at the Bear, which can be found on our pudding menu.We also regularly buy in Bin Ends which often offer spectacular menu. Ask our staff for details when you arrive.
