Open Mic Nights

Every other Saturday night commencing 30th January 2010, between 9.00 and midnight, The Bear and Ragged Staff will be giving the opportunity to frustrated local musical geniuses to showcase their wares. We’ll provide the P.A. System, all you have to do is get yourself down here, provide the voice(s) or the instrument(s), and potentially, this can be your next step towards the big-time.

We have to maintain an element of quality control in organizing these events, and in this regard, all those wishing to play are requested to contact Jack Parker in advance on 07920539308 evenings and weekends or come and meet him at the Bear, when he can usually be found on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights! If you can’t find Jack, just contact us at 01865862329 and we’ll find him for you. Please bear in mind that this event is NOT a glorified Karaoke night. We welcome serious musicians who want to have lots of fun, and welcome an audience that will appreciate great vibes in our amazing 500 year old setting!

We will also be asking for a voluntary door charge of £1 which will be given to the Mayor of Cumnor’s charities which include SSNAP at the JR hospital, See Saw and Cumnor Primary school.
