Bear Diary

It may seem a little unusual but as so many folk look at our website we have decided to post a regular review of what's happening at The Bear.

It doesn't seem possible that we have now been in situ for nearly 18 months and much has happened over this period.

To begin with we would like to wish everyone a prosperous New Year, and to thank our many regular customers for the patronage during 2007.

We have continued to enhance our facilities with the erection of a very posh smokers 'tent' outside the atrium, and not least the upgrading of the Bear Restaurant to provide additional seating without disturbing the beautiful setting loved by our customers.

We have added to our compliment of chefs, under the direction of Tomo our head chef and his wife, who are directly responsible for the quality of our menu.

We cater for all of the special days and events throughout the year and Valentines day which has just passed was very successful with many of our customers "putting off divorce" for another year, and the next event is St. Patricks Night on the 14th MARCH when we will be serving a typical Irish menu ably supported by a traditional Irish fiddler.

"Checking the web on a regular basis is always worthwhile"

Our very popular Pizza service has been suspended for the time being due to the dramatic increase in the restaurant trade - "SORRY", but we hope to resume this facility before too long.

We have decided to change our OAP Bear luncheon menu, and make it available to all our customers from now on.

Priced at £9.95 for two courses made up of a main plus a starter or a deserts. This has been extended to include the main course only at £6.95 because the customers say the main course on its own is more than suffecient for the average person.

The Bear luncheon menu is changed on a regular basis some times on daily basis so come along and enjoy yourselves? you won't be dissappointed!

Pleaser keep and eye on our web pages for more exciting news!
